In the course of this month July, some activities in sports, visits, sponsorship, and tours took place within and outside Kinyara Sugar Limited (KSL).
Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development visit
We hosted a team from the Private Sector Development Unit (PSDU) of the Ministry of Finance at Kinyara Sugar Limited this month.
The team headed by Dianah Nanono, Head of PSDU in the Finance Ministry, toured the factory and was briefed about Kinyara Sugar Limited.

"I am impressed by their capacity to produce both the light brown and brown sugar plus the white sugar," she continued to say.
"We are going to give a feedback-to-office report to management at the ministry of finance, and we hope that management can take the right measures and the right decisions to be able to improve the business environment generally in the sugar sector, said Dianah Nanono.
In the same month as shown in the photo below, the Federation of Uganda Employers Association also paid a courtesy visit to Kinyara Sugar Limited.

According
to Mr. Ogwok, the team run from Kampala to Jinja and all members completed the Kampala
– Jinja relay.

Football News: Kinyara Sugar Limited has continued to support football activities in and out of the factory premises.
The 2023
Corporate league commenced with Kinyara Sugar Limited (KSL) winning all two
fixtures. KSL versus Police Training School Kabalye 1-0 and the second fixture
KSL versus Red Earth Limited 3 - 0.
Our current top scorers with two goals each are Ojobile Simon and Opio Emmanuel.

The Kinyara interdepartmental football competition was officially concluded on July 7, 2023, with the Factory football team lifting the winner’s trophy.
General Manager Kinyara Sugar, Mr. Ravi Ramalingam, and Hon. Kiiza Kenneth Nyendwoha, MP Bujenje, presided as Chief Guest and Guest of Honor, respectively.

Kinyara
Sugar Limited donated to Masindi Motorcycle Operators Association (MAMOA) in
the same month.
MAMOA received drinks for their inter-stage football tournament, which started on July 11, 2023 and rans through to the end of October 2023.

In July, 2023,
the National Squash Open competition was sponsored by Kinyara Sugar Limited.
The
management of Kinyara Sugar Limited donated UGX 15 million to the event, known
as the "Kinyara Open Squash Tournament."
The Uganda
Squash Rackets Association (USRA) in Kampala organized it, and 109 players from
Kenya and Uganda participated. Read more

Kasirye
Paul Kadoma and Edith Wamalwa won the competition's men's and women's open
divisions, respectively. William Byaruhanga took first place in the 50+ age
group.
Golf News:
Golfers
from Kinyara Sugar Limited hit the green at Kinyara Golf Course on July 22,
2023.
The monthly Mug competition featured 14 male golfers, and Oketi Andrew took first place,
followed by Moses Enzama in second place and Simon Ojobile in third place.

Training and Exhibitions
Kinyara Occupational Safety and Health training
This month,
93 Kinyara Sugar Limited employees received tips on workplace safety and
health.
The
participants gained knowledge on cross-contamination, pest management,
cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
From July
12 to July 20, 2023, the training was conducted at the Kinyara Sugar Limited
training facility.
