December 3, 2023: The month of November 2023 is behind us!

In a society where information is a universal aspiration and a must, strides in collecting, documenting, and analyzing key successful activities, especially within Kinyara Sugar Limited, remain key. This collection of activities plays a vital role in the promotion of cohesion among us by identifying the good outcomes and raising awareness.

In the course of the month of October, some activities in sports, visits, sponsorship, and tours took place within and outside Kinyara Sugar Limited (KSL).

Kinyara Donates Relief items to Flood victims

The month of November witnessed heavy rains across the country, but Masindi district was not exceptional.

Heavy rains led to the flooding of Kimengo Sub County in Masindi district, affecting 260 homes and close to 1500 people.

Kinyara Sugar Limited’s management quickly embarked on a humanitarian aid activity that saw the flood victims benefit from initial relief items, including foods like sugar and maize flour.

Aldon Walukamba of Corporate Communications in the company of Dr Ramesh Bollampalli delivered the items to Kimengo Sub County and pledged the commitment Kinyara Sugar Limited has towards the local communities in good and bad times.

“We live and stay with you, our affected brothers and sisters; we work with you and help each other. At such a time, it’s imperative that we stretch our hands a little longer to touch farther in the name of help. Kinyara Sugar Limited is committed to helping people affected by the floods and will always do what is possible within the available means.” Walukamba said.

Kinyara Sugar Limited attended Sugar Sector Budget Meeting in Kampala

Kinyara Sugar Limited was represented at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) board room by Mr. Aldon Walukamba, the corporate communications manager, and Sekhar Veedhi, the marketing manager.

Kinyara Sugar Limited was tasked with updating members about refined sugar and its trends at the meeting.

Together, they communicated to the members that:

 “We are clearing every order that is placed on our table at Kinyara Sugar Limited." “We have fulfilled the price, quantity, and quality questions from our clients, partners, and government,” said Mr. Sekhar.

GM Ravi Ramalingam graduates pupils at Kinyara Nursery School

Kinyara Nursery School Class 2023 graduated with flying colours in November 2023 at the school premises.

Mr. Ravi Ramalingam, General Manager of Kinyara Sugar Limited, graduated the pupils at Kinyara Nursery School.

“We will support Kinyara Nursery School in order to improve the education requirements and standards, but we also urge parents to become more responsible at parenting and supporting education programs,” said Ravi Ramalingam.

Mr. Ravi Ramalingam was accompanied by Mr. Kabira Moses, the Human Resource Manager, Communications Manager Aldon Walukamba, and the Personnel Officer, Mr. Erebu Benard.

Kinyara Sugar Limited supports reforestation campaign

1200 trees of various species were handed Uganda Police Force from Kinyara Sugar Limited for a tree planting campaign in Masindi district.

The trees were handed over by Kinyara Sugar Limited Communications Manager Aldon Walukamba, to Ag District Police Commander Masindi district at the Police station.

“Kinyara Sugar Limited's management is always willing to collaborate in order to improve our environment by safeguarding trees, establishing new ones, and providing in-kind support to protect our ecosystems.” Aldon Walukamba said.

Sports News Round Up

25th Kinyara Open Golf Tournament Organised in Masindi

One of the leading Sugar Manufacturing companies in Uganda, organized the Kinyara Open Golf Tournament, which took place on November 24th and 25th at the Kinyara Golf Club in Bujenje, Masindi.

The tournament was supported by six insurance companies Liaison Group, Mua, ICEA LION, Sanlam, Gold Star Insurance and UAP Old Mutual.

The tournament attracted over 200 personalities with close to 120 golfers from all over the country, competed for various prizes and trophies.

The Kinyara Open Golf Tournament is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf events in Uganda and has been held annually since 1995. The Kinyara Golf Club is a 9-hole course that offers a challenging and scenic experience for golfers of all levels.

It was a team effort in marketing the 25th Kinyara Open Golf tournament starting with the top management

Kinyara Sugar Limited supports the construction of TASO Building in Masindi district

The AIDS Support Organization in Masindi Municipality hosted the TASO run, in which the hash team from Kinyara Sugar Limited took part.

The teams of five women and twenty men competed in the 5 and 10-kilometer races under the direction of Mr. Fred Ogwok. After the races, the teams gave the Kinyara Sugar Limited TASO team a monetary donation.
